About Us

Dyer Island View Seafront Accommodation is owned and run by Hendrik and Annetjie Krugel, who make it their policy to receive their guests as if they are personal friends and make them feel at home and welcome.

Hendrik and Annetjie came to Kleinbaai in 1999 to build a beachhouse after a busy life farming on a sheep farm in the Karoo, 530 km from Kleinbaai.

"We finished building our beachhouse the same year the shark business started. Andre Hartman * founded one of the first cage diving companies, used our house as a base where people came for a briefing and breakfast in the morning before going on a shark trip."

"We met people from all over the world and when people began to ask if they could stay over, having enjoyed our hospitality, we decided to be the place where people could come and stay and become part of our home."

"We love meeting people and discovered we can learn so much whilst also making new friends. Our motto is YOU COME AS A STRANGER BUT LEAVE AS A FRIEND. After 9 years we still love what we began, and hope to be of service for many years to come to all the wonderful people visiting our beautiful country!"
